It surprises me to no extent when political parties keep pressing for the Iran-Pak-India oil pipe line deal. It is understandable that some parties support the deal simply because US opposes it and they are paranoid about anything that has a US stamp on it. A rational thinking would help us understand that it is not the US nor the Muslim card that should be considered while planning for this deal. It is the role of fundamentalists ridden Pakistan, terrorist trainers ISI and Talibans that ought to be considered when thinking about the oil pipe line that would come to India through Pakistan. If ever this oil pipe line is signed, that would be one of the many worst blunders that India has made so far. The only difference would be - this would sit right on top of everything - simply because we missed to see -or- deliberately avoided to see the very evident threats.
